Nintendo Switch 2 is ‘Ready to Launch’ – CEO Hints at Surprise Release Date Window!

A fresh wave of excitement has rippled through the gaming world as the release window for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 has been revealed by a games industry insider.

Ruben Mercado, CEO of gaming accessory company Blade, has disclosed new details in a recent interview, sparking conversations about when fans can expect to get their hands on Nintendo’s next-gen console.

Mercado, whose company is reportedly working on accessories for the upcoming Switch 2, appeared on a podcast for the Spanish site Vandal, where he revealed that the console is essentially “done” and “ready.”

According to Mercado, Blade has had access to nearly finalized versions of the hardware.

While no official announcement has come from Nintendo, Mercado’s comments have further fueled speculation that the console is right on the cusp of launch.

March or April 2025 Release Date?

Based on Mercado’s insights, the Nintendo Switch 2 could hit shelves as early as March or April 2025. However, the exact timing could depend on Nintendo’s current fiscal year performance.

If sales figures fall below expectations, Nintendo might aim for a March release to boost its financials before the fiscal year closes. Alternatively, a strong sales performance could push the release to April 2025, at the start of the new fiscal year.

Mercado’s comments align with what Nintendo had previously indicated earlier this year—stating that details on the Switch 2 would be announced before the fiscal year ends in March 2025.

While Nintendo has been tight-lipped since that May announcement, this new information from a trusted industry figure adds more credibility to the March-April release window.

    Speculation Amid Leaks

This latest development follows a series of leaks and rumors surrounding the Switch 2, with some recently surfaced images and renders of the console believed to be genuine by tech experts.

While these leaks provide a tantalizing glimpse of what may be coming, Nintendo has yet to officially confirm any of them.

For now, the gaming community eagerly awaits more concrete details from Nintendo itself.

With the console seemingly ready and major accessory manufacturers like Blade already in the loop, it’s only a matter of time before Nintendo pulls back the curtain on what could be the next big thing in gaming.
